About

It is that time of year again! On June 6th, I'll be shooting 100 free throws to raise money for New Heights; this year on behalf of our U16 Boys Team.

New Heights integrates education, athletics, and leadership development to help student-athletes develop the skills necessary for success in high school, college and life beyond.

To support, you can pledge a "per shot" donation, determined by how many of the 100 free throws I make. My goal is to meet Wilt Chamberlains' career avg of 50% (50/100), so if you pledge a $1 per, you'd owe $50. Or you can pledge a flat amount

A little background info: New Heights combines basketball programming with long-term educational and social support to help underserved student-athletes thrive on and off the court. They have guided hundreds of kids to and through high school, college and careers, and have a track record of success that’s hard to beat (100% graduation and 98% college matriculation rates). I am an ELC board member and have been for the last ~10 years! Each year all the kids and teams join forces for the Shoot a Thon to raise money for the program, and folks like me get involved as “General Managers” to support the efforts.

All funds raised will directly support New Heights' academic and athletic programming. If you'd like to learn more about New Heights, visit www.newheightsnyc.org, but then please come back and click the link!

Support a College Bound student-athlete today!

On Saturday, June 3rd the New Heights Basketball Program will host it’s 10th Annual Team Challenge Shoot-A-Thon.

Every student-athlete will shoot 100 free throws. We are looking for sponsors for every MADE free throw. You can PLEDGE anything from .10 cents to 10 dollars per basket made or make a one-time DONATION.

All proceeds will fund New Heights’ signature year-round integrated youth-development program College Bound and the basketball season.
