Putnam Science Academy Girls Basketball will host its team wide Shoot-a-thon on October 31st!

During the event every athlete will shoot 100 free throws. We are looking for sponsors for each MADE free throw. You can PLEDGE anything from .25 cents to 10 dollars per basket made or make a one-time DONATION.

Our mission at PSA is to inspire and educate young student athletes from around the world. We encourage our athletes to make life lasting connections through the sport of basketball. Our program is built on our five core values of Accountability, Pride & Passion, Respect, Communication, and Commitment.

Our team is unique in that it brings together players from all over the globe including: London, Brazil, Senegal,Istanbul, Barcelona, Germany, South Africa and Poland. We also have an extensive travel schedule. We pride ourselves in playing the best of the best to position our players for success. In the last three seasons we have seen 20 students come through PSA and go on to receive full scholarships for college. 

Each year we travel to events in places like New York, Washington D.C., Pennsylvania and Virginia before capping the season in North Carolina for the National Championship Tournament. Our program has finished in the final four three out of the last four years with the exception being the year we could not travel due to the pandemic. 

These events are so important for our players who work tirelessly year round to reach their dreams of playing collegiate basketball. They allow our players to be properly evaluated by collegiate coaches. Fundraising is a crucial part of our program, helping with travel and team equipment.

We are hopeful to raise enough funds to make sure our players can have the best experience possible as we look to hit the road again in hopes of achieving our goal of a national championship.
