🏀 IS34 PTA Hoop Shoot-A-Thon! 🏀

Get ready for our annual Basketball Shoot-A-Thon—one of the biggest PTA fundraisers of the year!

This year, ALL PROCEEDS will go directly toward supporting our school community. Our goals include:

-Updating the schoolyard with new basketball hoops and a second Gaga Pit.

-Replacing the air conditioners in the Cafeteria and Auditorium.

-Purchasing equipment for our NEW TV Studio and STEM Labs.

How it Works:

EVERY staff member and student will take 30 shots from different spots on the basketball court.

Participants are sponsored with a pledge for each basket made, OR sponsors can make a one-time donation in any participant’s name.

Sponsors can pledge from 25 cents to $10 per basket made, or donate any amount ($5, $10, $100—anything helps!).

Individual Incentives:

Any student who raises at least $25 will receive credit for a school-sanctioned event or internal service event.

The TOP THREE earners in each grade will win their choice of one of these prizes:

-A trip to The Grind with a buddy for coffee and refreshers (during school).

-A trip to Mikey Bagels for lunch with a buddy (during school).

-A trip to Mangia for lunch with a buddy (during school).

The TOP THREE earners school-wide can choose from:

-A trip to the movies with 5 friends (during school).

-A pampering day at a nail salon with 5 friends (manicure & pedicure).

-A Taco Tuesday lunch at Ho Brah with 10 friends (during school).

-A coffee trip to The Grind with 5 friends (during school).

Additional Rewards:

$150: A coupon for 4 free Ice Cream/Pretzel/CANDY/Donut Fridays during lunch.

$250: Pizza at your table on a Friday in December (share with friends or enjoy solo!).

$400: Free pass for Ice Cream/Pretzel/CANDY/Donut Fridays for the entire school year.

$500: Fast Food Friday in December for you and a buddy (McDonald’s, Popeye’s, etc.).

$600: VIP seating at Graduation, Awards Night, and Arista (2 tickets per event) for the 2024-2025 school year ONLY.

$750: A trip to Mizu with a buddy for a Hibachi lunch (during school).

$850: A trip to Top Golf with a buddy (during school).

Homeroom Incentives:

The top fundraising homeroom in each grade will win:

A Class Pizza Party at Keke’s during the school day!

Grade Incentives:

The grade that raises the most money will enjoy a Spring Fling Carnival and Dance Party on our field, with a DJ, treats, games, and fun for ALL.

The two grades with the highest participation rate will choose between:

Sliming Mr. Boyle, Mr. Tames, and Mr. Mancusi in the schoolyard during lunch.

Monthly Café Dance Party Fridays with fun props!

(Participation rate is based on the percentage of students in the grade who raise at least $10.)

School-Wide Homework Incentives:

$10,000 raised: NO HOMEWORK during Thanksgiving Break!

$15,000 raised: NO HOMEWORK during December’s Holiday Break!

$20,000 raised: NO HOMEWORK during February Break!

$25,000 raised: NO HOMEWORK during Spring Break and for any long weekend or break for the ENTIRE school year!

$75,000 raised: NO SUMMER HOMEWORK for current 6th and 7th Graders!

Staff Incentives:

If our staff collectively raises at least $5,000, they will receive a PD-FREE June (Monday and Tuesday)!

IS34 PTA Shoot-A-Thon: Incoming Class of 2028 Incentive

Attention Future Eagles! 🦅

The incoming Class of 2028 has been challenged to raise $5,000 during IS34’s Shoot-A-Thon, and there are some amazing rewards up for grabs!

🎟️ Any incoming Eagle who raises at least $25 will be entered into a raffle for one of FIVE seats on IS34’s FUTURE EAGLE Day in the spring! You’ll spend a day at IS34, shadowing a current 6th grader of your choice, plus enjoy pizza and ice cream for lunch, courtesy of the IS34 PTA! 🍕🍨

🏅The TOP 3 fundraisers will automatically secure their spot on Future Eagle Day, in addition to the five raffle spots!

🎯 If the Class of 2028 reaches the $5,000 goal AND the school raises $75,000, there will be NO SUMMER HOMEWORK for all Eagles!

🥇The top-selling Future Eagle will get to choose ANY Art and Tech class for the 2025-2026 school year!
