Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Academy is proud to announce its 18th Annual schoolwide Race for Education on May 23rd.
The Race for Education is a longstanding tradition at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Academy and is a great way to get the kids outside and raise money for the school in a fun and healthy way!
This year funds raised will go to security and technology initiatives.
We are so excited to get on the race track! Each grade will participate in an alloted 45 minutes block of time and see how many laps each student can run!
Each student will receive a pretzel and Italian Ice. Bottles of water will also be available throughout the day.
Each student will raise funds by asking sponsors- friends, neighbors and family-to donate a (tax deductible) fixed amount. In previous years, we mailed flyers via the U.S. Postal Service. This year to save trees, postage and time, we are once again asking parents to e-mail the flyers to their families and friends. Also new this year, donations may be securely made online. This year students will be able to invite a sponsor through GivingZone.com. Of course, we will gladly accept cash, checks and money orders at the office!
This year's race is dedicated to adding more residency programs and upgrading our technology. Thank you for your support of our amazing students and school!
